Hans Chung has a technical background in machinery and mechanics. He has 17 years of experience in handling domestic and foreign patent application cases. He has handled patent filings in technical fields such as machinery, mechanics, semiconductor process and packaging, circuit boards, display modules, basic antenna architectures, optics, and medical devices. In addition, Hans has rich and practical experience in assisting clients in drafting patent applications, advising them in responding to Office Actions, searching and analyzing worldwide patent references, and discussing with clients the development of patentable ideas. He also has extensive practical experience in assisting individuals and SMEs in IP rights planning.

Hans has provided  advice regarding Taiwan patent practices to optical equipment companies and automotive lighting product companies on multiple occasions and has helped them in conducting design-around projects to avoid infringement.

In patent litigation, Hans has cooperated with our lawyers to handle domestic and international intellectual property disputes. The types of cases involved include Taiwan patent litigation for LED lighting products, automotive lamp design patent infringement and trade secret litigation for semiconductor components.
