The Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs amended Points 11 and 12 of the Directions of Loans for Startup Funding for Young Entrepreneurs (hereinafter, the "Directions") via the Zhong-Qi-Cai-11009005250 Directive of January 3, 2022.  In particular, to continue to provide funding assistance to the youth who are starting their businesses, Point 11 of the Directions is revised so that those who apply to a financial institution that undertakes such loans for a loan and meet the interest subsidy requirements before March 31, 2022 may continue to enjoy an interest subsidy for up to five years. In addition, to safeguard the rights and interests of the youth entrepreneurs who previously suspended their business operation for some reason but resume the operation of their businesses during the original interest subsidy period, Point 12 of the Directions is revised so that the operators who previously suspended their business operation but resume their operation during the original interest subsidy period may apply to the lending financial institution to resume the interest subsidy until the original subsidy period expires.
