We are delighted to share that our esteemed partners Dr. Chung-Teh Lee, senior of-counsel Elizabeth Pai, senior associate Elva Chuang, and associate Lilian Hsu have contributed to World Bank Group's 'Women, Business and the Law 2023' report by completing the questionnaires. This report evaluates the laws and regulations of 190 countries in eight areas related to women's economic participation, including mobility, workplace, pay, marriage, parenthood, entrepreneurship, assets, and pensions. The data, which is current through Oct. 1, 2022, provides objective and measurable benchmarks for global progress toward legal gender equality. Currently, only 14 high-income economies have laws granting women the same rights as men.
This report is an important resource for policymakers, researchers, and advocates who are working to promote gender equality and women's economic empowerment around the world. At Lee, Tsai & Partners, we are committed to ensuring equal rights for female workers as their male counterparts.
