The Ministry of the Interior announced the Measure for Short-term Special Reduction of Statutory Fees Payable by Mainland China Citizens Seeking to Enter Kinmen, Matzu and Penghu for tourism by Applying to the National Immigration Agency for Temporary Entry Notice (hereinafter, the "Measure"), which came into effect on April 1, 2017, via the Nei-Shou-Yi 10609513861 Directive of March 16, 2017.

To accommodate the open-door policy under the Statute for Developing Offshore Islands enacted in 2000 by the Executive Yuan to develop offshore islands, promote the sound development of industries and help stimulate tourism and economic development of offshore islands, the Measure will reduce the landing visa fee for Mini-three-links from NT$600 per application to NT$400 during April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018.

The Directive also pointed out that except for the visa fee reduction during the special period, the Yi-Shu-Chu-Lu-Jia-10500723121 Announcement of June 17, 2016 from the National Immigration Agency should be referenced with respect to the applicable applicants, restrictions, required documentation, application procedure, issuing manners, relevant instructions and matters that should be noted for Mini-three-links landing visa application.
