With a background in electrical engineering and atomic science, Jerry has more than 18 years of drafting and prosecuting patent applications for both domestic and international clients. During this time, he has filed hundreds of applications related to electronics, information and computer technology, optics, business methods, and fintech. Jerry is experienced in counseling inventors from start-ups to multinational corporations, such as IBM, on developing their patentable ideas and on drafting and successfully prosecuting the resulting patent application.
Jerry works closely with the other lawyers at the firm on domestic and cross-jurisdictional intellectual property disputes, ranging from automotive design patent infringement cases to semiconductor trade secret disputes. He is also experienced in advising enterprise clients on successfully avoiding patent infringement litigation before they occur.
Jerry frequently advises multinational corporations in their global IP strategy planning and offers advice regarding Taiwan practices. He also has abundant experience and unique insight for start-ups developing and executing their IP strategies.
Jerry is currently a member of the Monte Jade Science & Technology Association of Taiwan.
