Aaron Chen is a partner at Lee, Tsai & Partners. He specializes in competition law, corporate investment and governance, commercial arbitration and dispute resolution.
Aaron has over 18 years of experience advising clients in all types of competition law related matters. He has a proven record of successfully representing clients in landmark concerted action brought by the Taiwan Fair Trade Commission and related administrative and civil actions. Mr. Chen has represented clients in landmark competition investigations concerning standard-essential patents. Mr. Chen also routinely provides advice on obtaining pre-merger approvals, including those for public tender offer deals, and other vertical restriction matters to clients in a wide range of industries.
Aaron regularly advises clients on their investments and corporate governance matters, including merger and acquisitions, the structure and compliance of corporate governance, representing clients in management and ownership disputes.
Mr. Chen has rich experience in arbitration and litigation, including successes in representing clients in competition law and corporate investment related disputes. For shareholders’ disputes, he represented clients before the Chinese Arbitration Association (CAA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).
In recent years, Mr. Chen has focused on adaptation measures by enterprises in response to climate change concerns, as well as ESG compliance.
Mr. Chen currently acts as the Chairperson of the Competition Law Committee of the Taipei Bar Association, the Vice-chair of the Competition Law Committee of the Taiwan Bar Association, and as the Advisor of the Fair Trade and Consumer Relationship Commission, Chinese National Federation of Industries. Through these roles, he proactively participated in competition law communities and advocate competition policy.
